Effective January 1, 2026 - PSW will perform utilization and prior authorization reviews on behalf of SCAN Medicare Advantage plan for Pierce, Spokane, and Thurston county members.

InterQual® criteria may be used during the review process to determine if requested services or level of care are clinically indicated. If the criteria are met, the request is approved; if the criteria are not met, the request is routed to a physician or other appropriate healthcare professional as defined by CMS.
