Meet Dr. Bota

Dr. Michael Bota will serve as the role of Chief Medical Officer at PSW, where he will provide VBA enterprise-wide clinical leadership, oversee quality and safety initiatives, and guide our long‑term clinical strategy. He will continue to partner with the MultiCare care delivery teams as well as network medical groups to implement Medicare and Commercial value-based agreements. His work also includes network recruitment, provider credentialing, and initiatives to reduce total cost of care while improving patient outcomes.

Dr. Bota is a clinical endocrinologist and brings more than a decade of healthcare leadership experience, with a focus on advancing value-based care across diverse provider settings. His commitment to clinical excellence and collaborative leadership will continue to advance the way we support our patients and providers. Previously, Dr. Bota served as Medical Director for Population Health at MultiCare Connected Care and, prior to that role, Medical Director for Medical Specialties at MultiCare Rockwood Clinic. He earned his MD from the University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Technology of Târgu Mureș, Romania, and holds an MBA in Medical Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Outside of work, Dr. Bota is a dedicated culinary enthusiast who enjoys experimenting with complex recipes and exploring specialty restaurants. He’s a fan of alternative music and an avid gardener with a focus on fruit-bearing trees and shrubs.
